Hermanus field Archery Club (HFAC) was founded in
September 2008 by Jaco Coetzee, when he and fellow
archers were looking for a place to practice their archery
skills. HFAC's goal is to promote archery, whilst having fun.

HFAC host a SANIFAA structured competition
every 4th Sunday of each month.
  The competitions are
open to all archers, whether club members or not.
The range consists of a practice range with targets set at
10 to 80 yards and a circular course with a total of 28 stations. The course is laid out in yards and accommodate shots as far as 80 yards: varying degrees of slope and incline make this a challenging archery course.

We try to alternate our competitions between Field-, 2D-, 3D- and Hunter rounds.
To accommodate hunters on a field round, we have the Biltong round.  The Biltong round consist of 14 station with distances varying between 7 and 40 yards.

This beautiful course is situated amongst fynbos and old Pine trees on the R43, between the Kleinmond and Bot River turn offs, just 15 minutes drive from Hermanus.

HFAC forms part of the Greater Hermanus Shooting Club, that accommodates  pistol shooting, rifle shooting and clay pigeon shooting.
